-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Opens:

- None

ARs:

- Mike post updated IBISCHK_6.0.0_UG_wip1.docx to IBIS website
  - Done

IBISCHK document:

- Mike: I need to rename "UG" to "User Guide".
- Bob: It should be lowercase.
  - The version can be 600, no dots.
  - ibischk600_user_guide.pdf.
  - We probably will often change the program with no user guide change.
- Mike: Maybe it should be renamed each release.
  - or the version details could be inside the document only.
  - EDA vendors might prefer to have the name not change too often.
  - We need to consider having a license to allow copying.
- Bob: It should be just ibischk6_user_guide.pdf.
- Mike: We need to address the license issue in general.
  - The IBIS spec itself has no redistribution license.
  - GNU and CreativeCommons have standard licenses.
- Bob: This is a tricky issue.
  - We probably do not want this to be copyrighted by SAE.

- Bob showed the wip1 document.
- Bob: We could comment that N1110 was a warning before becoming a note in 4.2.1.

- Bob: W1503 is an error if the difference is over 10%.
- Mike: We can have W1503 and E1503 in the same table cell.
- Bob: The comment would have to explain how they are used.

- Bob: Many entries like N1508 need comments but have none.
- Mike: That one means Open_source should have no Pulldown.
- Bob: We need to update all of these and send a spreadsheet to Atul.
- Mike: We could split this up and each take a section a week.
  - We would want to agree with Atul what the columns should be.

- Bob showed Atul's spreadsheet.
- Bob: 1503 and others are shown as both Error and Warning.
- Mike: Columns F and beyond are not very useful
  - I made a number of corrections to this content in my spreadsheet.
- Bob: Then we have an issue deciding which is the master spreadsheet.

- Bob: Some IBISCHK errors are not actually IBIS specification violations.

- Mike: Can the user guide be finalized now?
- Bob: It is still incomplete.
- Mike: We should ask the board for an opinion on whether to publish the user guide.
  - We would note the missing comments and restrictive copyright.

AR: Mike ask IBIS board about publishing the user guide
